This ‘Cup of Excellence’ high scoring (83) crop is from Rwanda’s Gamacho mill sourced via Falcon Coffee imports.
An aggregated crop from local smallholders with production overseen by Tadesse, Gamacho Mill’s owner, who provides skill-building training to his client farmers on all aspects of coffee production, supporting numerous initiatives such as establishing their own coffee nursery sites and providing supply and quality-based price incentives for bringing only the highest-quality cherries to Gamacho washing station. Tadesse and his wife, Mrs. Bekelech Burka, have nine children, six of whom are directly involved in coffee sourcing, transportation, pulping/milling, and drying.
Our Medium roast leans into this outstanding crop’s complex characteristics. Expect plumy sweetness with marzipan and praline tinged dark chocolates. An intense full bodied cup that reminds us of a fine Burgundy wine.
A must for lovers of espresso and slow drip filter alike.
