Karambi arrives through our import partners at Agri Evolve a profit for purpose business that have been working with farmers in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains in the far west of Uganda to achieve higher yields, better quality, and effective marketing so that farmers improve their productivity, increase income and profitability for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Karambi is a ‘Drouga plus’ the name given to the higher quality mixed lots of green coffee the community harvest collectively and process naturally, with cherries being dried in the open before being hulled, cleaned and processed to a high standard using modern machinery at Argi Evolve’s new Coffee Station.

Agri Evolve have been working with groups of farmers in this area for the past 8 years developing excellent relationships. The Farmers understand the requirements for fully ripe red ‘cherries’, freshly harvested, and are paid top prices on the day of delivery. It’s a relationship of trust, support and commitment.

Karambi is a rounded and well balanced coffee, sweet with a mild acidity and notes of dried stone fruit and dark chocolate.
